Spotted a tiny piece of white fluff on the leaf of a Mint Plant. Then realised it was moving around on that leaf. The close up photographs show the detail and I believe it is the early stage larva of a Ladybird but have found very little hard data as to exactly what it is. I have gone with Scyminae sp. for now although the name Cryptolaemus montrouzieri crops up also in my research.

Witch's Broom where the natural structure of the branch is changed. A dense mass of twigs grow out from a single point resulting in a dense tangle of young branches sometimes called a birds nest. The local deformity is attributed to branch damage, insects or other pathogens.
Wild Flowers
Great to see so many local fields bordered with a 6-7 metre wide wild flower zone to support the pollinators and insect population this year.
