The November continuing wet weather continues to bring out numerous fungi species (selection below).

The Coral Tooth (Hericium coralloides) fungus shown below is very rare and on the Red Data List of endangered species due it's rarity. The FRDBI (British MycologIcal Society database) for Warwickshire VC38 has only three previous recordings. (refer also November 2022 page)

The Agaricus fungi are another difficult one to distinguish between sub-species unless using a microscope so this one can only be identified to the species level.

The fungi below is the common wet rot fungus.
