Cladonia

Please refer to the "Introduction Page" which shows the localised part of Warwickshire covered by this Library page.

The purpose is to provide an alphabetical  library from my monthly finds to aid the identification of any Lichens found on walks. The photographs also include the OS Grid reference location. Note the locations are only the places I have visited on my walks and cannot be considered as comprehensive even for this localised part of Warwickshire.

Just note -  appearance between some photographs varies for the following reasons :-

a) A lot of tree based lichen turn green when wet or damp whereas they are normally grey when dry.

b) Growth can be normal or remarkably ebullient depending on the environment.

c) Strong sunlight affects the close up macro contrast.

Lastly I am very much a novice at Lichen identification so there will be mistaken identities on these Library pages so please verify using secondary sources.
